  we have just gotten home from sunday-meeting, when my mom ask me if i believe in god and so on.

  so i tell her, cause you adviced me to be honest.

  and despite all my fears, she took it very calm, and then told my dad whos also taking it calm, and it doesnt seem like theyre hating me now or want to throw me out of the house.. the thing is.

  Annie ... you see filip as seeing hypocrisy and nonesense ... I see a kid who found an audience on the net that makes him feel good. No rules ... don't obey parents ... life (outside org) is just a bowl of cherries. Life can be a lot tougher if you don't have family. He has that. He isn't too pleased with his family right now ... most teens aren't. Helping a child go against his parents is a terrible thing.

  Your slant on the WTS is just that ... another opinion. As long as filip lives at home, his parents deserve respect and, yes, obedience. When he is an adult, then he can decide what path he should take.

  If he were catholic, or muslim, I'd give him the same advice.

  144001 ... you didn't finish the sentence properly ... you forgot "ON THIS SITE". We all know what he hears in his home. I want him to see it here as well ... to see that not everyone here wants him to rebel. So far, I see he's picked up the lingo here pretty well. The language in his last post speaks volumes as to how he wants to fit in here.

  filip: give your father a chance. Someday, when you have children of your own, and they test you to the limit, you may understand ... he's only human.

  FreeWilly .. your assumption is that filip's parents will 'control the information' he is allowed to get. Thus, you assume too much. Simple, really. None of us know what his parents will do ... but as his parents, they have the right to do as they feel best.

  OK Tammy .. I see where filip's father yelled at him and said something to the effect .. he could find somewhere else to live. You are right .. no parent should 'lose it' with their child. We are all just people though .. I've said SO many things in the heat of the moment ... and instantly wish I could take them back. Filip's father is just frustrated .. call it abuse if you will. I'm sure the authorities in charge of child abuse would see this as their mildest case.

  filip ... if you are still here ... do you really think your parents don't love you and want only what is best for you? Give them the chance ... in time ... when you are an adult, then make adult decisions.

  FreeWilly .. you assume too much. INFORMATION CONTROL .. my foot! If anyone here had nothing to fear .. they'd whole heartedly suggest filip deal with this situation with his parents .. not strangers on the net. Are you assuming you know all the facts .. hearing only from a 15 year old child? Something you should think about.

  Tammy .. I am not side stepping the issues. Maybe I missed something .. how is filip being abused by his family? I will reread this subject but I don't remember him mentioning abuse.

  I agree he should do research ... under his parents supervision!!!!

  There are many small ones in my cong. I've yet to see or hear any of them being abused.

  If I wanted to, I could say I was abused by my mother too. She tried as hard as she could to keep me from taking the wrong path. She lost her cool a few times and said things she later regreted. Not especially a JW experience exclusively. A loving parent experience though. It is the mandate of a parent to do all they can to protect their child ... let's give filip's parents that chance!

  Bryan .. I'm sure you have filip's best interest at heart. By the same token .. don't you think his parents do too. Think they've known him a bit longer than anyone else here. Your past history ( abuse by elder father?) doesn't mean he has the same problem. Do you remember being a teenager? Everything is magnified.

  I am sorry for the suffering you had. No one should minimize it. I'm sure there are people out there who've suffered as well, who may have never heard of JWs. Since I was out and now back, I can see that the world has NOTHING to offer. Just want filip to see both sides.

  If after careful study, he still would like out, I'm sure his parents will make the best of it.

  If you think I used an 'over used JW line' guess I could belong to any KH, couldn't I?

  You make some good points. However, Filip is still a minor. All well and good to research ... I agree. When I was his age though, (looking back 20/20 and all) I was very easily swayed to take the easy way out. Parents know very little when you are 15 years old. Strange how smart they get as we age too.

  As for a child being on the net .. fine .. as long as they have parental supervision. If I had a child and found out he was visiting 'grown up' sites like this, I'd soon be in touch with a mod.

  Some things I see going on in KHs isn't perfect either .. but who of is? Likely see worse in other places of worship. As for a child deciding what religious belief he will have .. they can and will decide as soon as they are able to move out and support themselves in every way.

  You can't force anyone to believe anything but parents are responsible to try to do the best they can. If you don't agree with what filip's parents are doing, your discussion should be with them .. not their young child! No way he should be here!!!

  Jw view of resurrection: will it be you who is resurrected???

  i have always had a problem even when a jw with the wtbs view on the bodily resurrection.

  if your body is destroyed following death, and there is no soul, what then is being resurrected???.

  ?.....its a new body and only a recording of your thoughts that was in gods memory that is put into this new body......how can it truly be the same person???

  chucky ... 'how can that be the same person'?

  Do you not believe Jesus was the same person when he was brought back? People who knew him didn't recognize him by sight but did once he spoke.
